Any ideas?

I've been keeping my boys old shoes for the last few months thinking I would make something with them, however I really don't have a clue! What does everybody do with their old shoes? Let me steal your ideas!

Weld/superglue a couple together, add a bit of card to make a picture frame.

someone made one for our wedding... it was sprayed silver (to stop it rusting), then wrapped in a sort of see through pink ribbon and decorated with feather and little beads near the toe clip.

I still have old shoes from the 80s.I put one by my front door,others are just lying around for now.Picture frame sounds a really good idea.

One shoe from each horse is nailed up next to the tack room door as a record of all the horses that have lived in the stables. The people who lived here before started it and we will carry on.

Sounds bizzare but I've seen it done and the results were surprisingly impressive.

I've made photo frames from them, and when I finally go out and buy some thread of some sort, plan to make a dreamcatcher out of one (or a few of them!)

What a great idea! We are demolishing walls and moving our kitchen about (long story, but it started when the boiler broke at Easter...). OH has found a space he's earmarked for a wine rack. He is also an expert welder.

Problem is our 2 are shoeless!

These are all great ideas, thank-you. I think I might manage a picture frame although the wine rack sounds way out of my diy league.

Now I just need to find a welder....!
