Evening all,

I took my dogs out today, when we arrived I was getting my older dog (9yrs) out of the truck when I felt something on her neck. At first I thought it was her mircochip I could feel but as I rummaged more I realised she had two on the back of her neck, they are very small (about the size of half a pea placed under the skin) they are hard but the skin/ hair is not effected at all.

She didn't really like me touching them but didn't cry, we carried on with the walk, swim etc and she had the time of her life. When we got home I decided to investigate further and found another in the same region but none of them are touching, this time she didn't mind me having a poke but then we was very tired.

I've searched a bit on google but all lumps and bumps seem to either be pussy or with hair loss - these are neither!

Just wondered if anyone's poochies had ever had anything like this? I will take her to the vets next week to get them checked, but whilst I don't see it worthy of an emergency trip tonight I still can't help wondering!

Thank you all in advance :)

UPDATE!!

Lillie was seen by the vet this eve, he thinks they are more than likely sebaceous cysts, he is also testing her for diabetis (something I asked about years ago!) as she drinks alot, wee's more than my male dog and has trouble loosing weight (don't we all)

I have to get a wee sample tomorrow morning.

RE the lumps, I have to just keep an eye on it and if they get big enough to get a needle into do a test they will, but he is happy with them at the moment as her glands aren't up and she is eating etc.

Will keep you posted but fingers crossed I will have nothing to report!
