hi guys
Has anyone come across anything similar to this before. My three year old appears to be suffering from repetitive mild choke 3 times in 2 months now. Each time we have had the vet out to check 1st time put it off to a one off, 2nd time was the day after so it was put down to an over reaction to eating some hay (not me I hasten to add some well meaning livery decided she looked hungry) and her still having a sore inflamed throat.
However we had another episode yesterday.
She does not bolt her food or pig on hay. The first two times she was in the field, the last time she was in the stable but hours after breakfast and was just picking at her hay.
She is always fed wet/damp feed and the hay is good quality.
Had her teeth done 3 months ago.
Chewing her hay properly, not a messy eater. Vet had a look at her teeth and no loose caps, sharp edges etc.
It could all be a coincidence however I dont like coincidences and horses.
The vet is coming next week to scope so should hopefully get confirmation that it is nothing serious or as to what is wrong.
Just wondered if anyone has had anything similar.
