I am desperatly trying to trace the history on my new horse as he came with a very vague passport...no breeding and only a year of birth!

He is a 16.2hh bay Irish Sports Horse, 6 years old, called Holy Cross Berty Boy. He has what I call a Harry Potter scar in between his eyes (looks like a lightening bolt!) and three small white stripes on the back of his front right leg, probably from an injury causing the hair to grow back a different colour (I think?!). Other than that he is completely bay with black legs, no white markings.

I bought him from Chessington Equestrian Centre where they had him for a few months but I literally know nothing before that...

If anyone knows anything about him or even rode him at the riding school or knows how I can trace his history/breeding then please let me know! He is microchipped if that helps :)

You should be able to get some info through the microchip even if it's only who implanted it. Have you searched NED Online?

I have just searched the name in his passport but it came up with nothing, so am just trying to find his passport to search his passport number/microchip number. Any more suggestions?

If he is an irish sport horse he should be chipped and blood typed when he was a foal,so you should be able to trace him back to Ireland from his chip number.

Well I think he is out of the stallion Holycross (which would make sense as that is the start of his name)...looks like a lovely stallion!

Any idea how I go about tracing?
