Needs to offer full/part livery (dependant on what you call it!) as due to work commitments can only see horse at weekend. Not bothered about fancy facilities, as horse is only baby so doesnt need much.

sorry - i'm not based there either, just have a friend who is who had my mare at hers for a bit which is how I know RB would be a good place to look. Is v horsey round there though so you should be ok.

OK cheers - I am aware it is horsey - and expensive :( on a budget to, so not looking forward to trying to find anywhere!

Google Chiltern & Thames rider - you can see the ads from the magazine online & there are usually loads of yards in Aylesbury advertising in there (I used to live in Bucks)
Good luck!

Ideally east/south east of Aylesbury (going to RAF Halton :)), but as I wont be doing much riding/free time during the first month or so, it won't really matter if its not that close

Try grange lands farm livery- they have a website, marguerite is outstandingly knowledgable, and it's 10 mins tops. 5 mins tops is a yard run by a lady called Wendy, in wendover next to Halton.... I'll recall what it's nam is in a minute and get back to you.
Ah it's coneycroft farm.
Or there is rosemarys yard up on the hill in the lee- 10 mins, very reasonable, full o babies and retireds, nice school when you get to he point of needing it. I'm having a brain blank at this second..... Was calle gwenfa fields but that is actually the house.... I'll check.

COneycroft has a website and I'll check Rosemary's number if you'd like.

There is also squirrel farm on way to Aylesbury on stoke mandeville road, 20 mins but I don't know personally about it.

If you would consider 25 mina drive, Tudor stud on bledlow ridge is fantastic. Really rate them, they have a website too and I can get numbers if needed.

There are a couple that have so far been recommended in this thread that i would not touch with a bargepole, pm me if you want more info!
I know of an excellent yard in bledlow that offers full, is that too far?

Stephen Moore yard in Marsworth, the best facilities you will find and not a huge yard so friendly and personal! PM if you would like a number :-)

We almost bought a house in that area last year and looked at several yards. By far my favorite was Grangelands, seemed very well run and friendly, nice facilities and although not cheap, was also not ridiculous. Wider has great facilities but is HUGE! I may also have looked at coneycroft, looked at one that had a SSH stallion on site, was the ellesborough side of risborough I think? Was nice but grazing very limited and you had to go through other fields to get to yours which I wasn't massively keen on. May not have been coneycroft though so forgive me if name is wrong. What about hall acres at bradenham? That always looks nice in the ads. Radnage is also well regarded I believe.

It is that one that is Coneycroft. I really liked it.

Widmer is....well. Huge and factory like to me. But each to their own. PM for a full write up- good and not so good.

Hall Acres is lovely but no school- rumours that it was closing down, but how true that is I don't know.

Radnage and Fred hodges is nice too- across from us at Tudor.

Yes that was my feeling on Widmer but I am definately a small yard type of person! Coneycroft was nice and lady was lovely, but I just felt the turnout was fairly limited there and with my big youngster I like him out as much ad possibly ideally in a big field with some mates to play with ;) makes my life easier! To be fair Grangelands do paired/individual turnout too but seemed to have more land. And absolutely lovely hacking and school!

Mancha- me too!!

Is that Corham stables? I'd forgotten vicki list but that is really lovely.

I wonder if you are thinking of the same ones as me! Both the 2 i would definately avoid have been mentioned again since i posted!?
And yes it was Corham i was thinking of, really lovely yard!

If yours is a youngster I would recommend Pferde Stud, they are south of Ayelsbury, I sent my mare there to foal down, and left the offspring there until she was 3 to grow up. I moved abroad not long after she was born and was delighted with how she was looked after. They have "grown up" liveries too I believe! http://www.pferdestud.com/#

They do have grown up liveries! And Darren is very knowledgable I believe. When I looked there they were full, but that was pre recession...

Then I think Rosemary's up on the lee would maybe fit budget. I can tell you that Corham, and grange lands are out of that range pretty sure.

Tudor would likely be affordable ? I can't say for the others, but I think bradenham hall acres would too.

I think you may struggle to find part livery for that price, can't speak for all yards in the area but all the ones i know of are more than 80 a week.
