Hello, I am 14 years old and I have been riding for about 9 years. I can muck out, groom and tack up and I am very comfortable around horses. I started out hacking, but lost my confidence and began riding at a riding school. I can walk, trot, canter and jump about 3ft but I am not the most confident of riders. I am looking for a loan pony who is a very genuine, fun confidence giver so I can go out and about to shows and take it cross country schooling. I am looking for a pony which is a minimum height of 12.2 and a maximum height of 15.2, but ideally I would like a 14.2. I am in Oxfordshire near Banbury so if you have any ponies or horses who would be suitable for me, please let me know it is much appreciated 😊

The pony club is the best place to find the best loan ponies - they usually have homes for life and pass from one child to another through word of mouth. They tend to be on all the teams with successive riders and the DCs (quite understandably!!) want to keep them in house. You might have difficulty in finding someone who will loan a good pony to someone as young as you are I'm afraid - unless you also have horsey parents. I own one of the PC schoolmaster types who, having taught my daughter the ropes, now spends his time teaching others whilst she has progressed to BE on her other horses. For myself I won't accept a share / loan for him unless the parents or another responsible adult is both horsey and fully involved. The Pony Club is a great place to start.

I realise the OP is young and I admire her for posting on here and saying what she wants. I think Shay has answered the question. I sincerely hope she finds the pony she is looking for.

I own several ponies but I'm afraid none will be for loan -- ever.

On the other hand, if there is anyone who would like to loan me, say, £2,000 for the summer. I'd be very grateful. I would prefer cash in newish notes, preferably tenners and larger denomination notes but not bigger than £50's. I am an experienced money owner and would keep the cash in my wallet in my back pocket. I really like the feel of a big wad of cash rubbing against my right buttock and I promise I will look after it. I'm just wanting to flash a large bundle of notes occasionally to impress my friends and I have no intentions of spending it so it will be quite safe.

Anyone?
