any local hunters near me?

Hi all,

I really want to get my pony out and about after Christmas on the hunt field but I'm 15 so I have to be accompanied.
I hardly know anyone who hunts apart from my relatives up north where I hunt sometimes but I'm in Sussex.

I live in Forest Row, East Sussex and would like to hunt with the Old Surrey and Burstow Hounds- does anyone here hunt with them?

Thanks, any replies much appreciated as it's my last year with my pony so last chance to hunt with him

You could try contacting the secretary and asking them? I'm sure there are people within the hunt who could help

Definitely contact the secretary- she'll know of people who'll willingly take you, or even people just a few years older who know what they're on who don't mind accompanying someone.

Contact your secretary - OSB have a children's meet you can go unaccompanied to. Or they can arrange a "nanny" for you. Also the local PC branch is quite hunting active - you could ask to ride with them.

I don't know about OSB - but my daughter is 13 and rides unaccompanied - although always with the permission of the master. But she has hunted the last 4 seasons with SUH so they do know her.

hi there im not with the old surrey but with the surrey union i would be very happy to keep an eye out for you if you fancy coming along the best plan would be to contact the secretary and join the supporters club for meet info

we are an extremely friendly hunt and my grey is quite used to the job now and is a brilliant baby sitter for new horses

good luck in finding some hunting nearby and hopefully happy hunting
