Any one from Cambridge could you kindly update me on the weather/snow in your area. OH is insisting on travelling to cambridge tomorrow afternoon by train to present a lecture on friday but I am concerned about the weather as he is travelling from Devon!

Met office says snow south east tomorrow (sorry) but I have no faith in the forecast they have got it wrong every day for the past 10 years as far as I am concerned!!! I am still waiting for the Indian Summer and global warming or should that now be renamed, global wetting?

It's not too bad here. Yes, it's very cold, but we've had very little snow compared to what we had at Christmas, and I wouldn't say the roads are too bad. I'm not sure what the counties en route will be like though!!

Thanks I will investigate. As you can tell I don't want him to go, especially as we still have a lot of snow on the ground at home!

in Cambridge is actually ok - a bit icy - I think the london trains are running - maybe on a "snow timetable" but generally it's ok.
I've driven 8 miles out of Cambridge to work and not had any problems...and we have people coming to work from up to 30 miles away...

It's ok, but some of the side roads are REALLY icy so he needs to be careful, I crashed my car in the curb (thankfully not a car) as it was so icy that my brakes didn't work.

Thank you for all the replys it is really helpful

CAmbridge and surrounding area is fine! Cold and the usual untreated roads etc

Trains are in and out as usual-don't think british rail are using the excuse of snow on the line......yet!
