Hi,

My friend has not long lived in the area and is struggling to find hay for winter. She doenst have any transport to collect and people dont seem willing to deliver for the small amount she needs. She only has one horse and shes a good doing mare.so a hundred bales will be wasted and she doesnt have the storage for it either.

Does any one have any contacts in the area that may be able to help with smaller deliveries?

Has she tried looking in Mole Valley at the notice board or even putting up a add there.

Thats probably because everyone is making/about to make their hay at the moment! xx

I know she goes to mole valley.didnt think about putting a add up actually.

I know they are cutting it now,well alots been done from what I gather but she cant find a farmer willing to deliver to her anything less than 100. whether it be off the field or stock.

Could she not borrow a trailer and take it straight off the field? It's cheaper that way too ;-)

I get hay from the adverts in Mole Valley, my horses are near Cullompton and I may be able to share a load of hay, if your friend is interested PM me. Town and Country deliver hay and haylage but are expensive.
We usually collect six bales at a time in our landrover, but could do with stocking up for winter.
