We have had a pony on our yard for last 10 months or so, long story short (as it has previously been on here) the owner has neglected this pony, as in, been stabled from last October with no exersise and often not mucked out or fed for days. Although once we realised he was going without we fed him.
Any way this morning someone turned up with a trailer and moved him to another yard. I really hope its to a yard where they will keep an eye on him and her. We think they have gone to a yard in Sale, Cheshire. If a pony called Sky, 14.2 bay gelding has turned up today on your yard please look after him, he needs some love. His owner certainly can't be bothered.

I have friends with horses near Altirincham I will pass this on to them. The trouble is as soon as you start helping /feeding etc they take you for granted (the owner not the horse!)...but then if you do not the horse suffers...it makes me so angry.

The yards in Sale are mainly very DIY and have little to no turnout. If the owners aren't interested I pity the poor pony. It depends which its gone to, there are quite a few. I started learning to ride around there as a kid, I doubt its changed much.

Thanks for keeping an eye out around Sale, we tried to report to RSPCA and ILPH but they didn't want to know unless we were prepared to let the poor little thing starve. Just hope someone looks after him somewhere.
