Any Poole and District Pony Club members here?

Through the Facebook campaign to find Candy for Ellemoo http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/355741137804422/ someone has come forward to say they think the mare may have been owned by a member of the Poole District Pony Club. Sadly if it is the same mare, the person thinks she died in a tragic accident.

If anyone knows who this might have been, could they pass the info on to us to check it please? Even if it turns out that sadly, this was Candy and she's now deceased, at least Ellemoo would know, and it sounds like until the accident the mare was loved and cared for, which would be some comfort.

The DC has come up with a possible name for the mare's owner, Lorna Feral, but it is only a possible one.

Anyone in the Poole area, please have a look on the group info and photos and see if any bells are rung. Thanks.

Have you tried contacting the branch directly? Looking on their website they have a classified section so maybe they could put an advert on there for you?

What we need is horsey people everywhere to check any palominos they know for that freezemark (LD52). Or just to recognise Candy. The only lead we have suggests she may be dead so we're obviously hoping it's not her. But even bad news would help Ellemoo to move on.

is it just me that now can't see a palomino without wondering if it is Candy? I nearly fell off my horse this morning when a palomino came into the arena next to me I was so busy looking for a freezemark. Then the instructor referred to the pony as a him which bought that to an end!

That's good to hear. Not that you nearly fell off, but that people are looking out for her.
