Haffie Liesel has a well fitting Thorowgood cob saddle, but she also stores up huge plop reserves which she empties during our ride, and the more scary the ride, the more poops emerge. Which means I am constantly tightening or trying to, her girth, but she blows herself out a bit which doesnt help.

So as extra security (I can balance a sideways slipping saddle fairly well) against the saddle slipping back, I was thinking of a breastplate, just something basic.

Is there anything that peeps use thats good? (that would work well with a synthetic saddle)?

Shes on the solid side and also will tend to grab and chew anything sticking out/up, so pref nice and smooth.

Thanks in advance and almond croissants and lattes to anyone reaching this point :-)))

I've got a Heritage one from Ebay. Wasn't that expensive and nice quality leather. Cob size fits my fatty well and they are adjustable and look smart.

Just a normal hunter breastplate would probabably be easist. Gives you a grab strap too ;)

Which on depends on how much you want to spend. A nice english leather one won't be cheap but will be last forever. A cheap leather one does the same job (try Kincade). Just make sure it has adjustment on the shoulder part as well as the girth.

My friend just bought a very nice breastplate from Equestrian Clearance, think it was a Kincade one. It is leather with the Y bits being elastic. Very smart and reasonable price.
