I was just wondering that if you were teaching a group lesson and one person was using there whip too much what would you do?

I only ask because I had a jumping lesson on Monday through PC with a top instructor and one girl in our group who was very much kick and pull with her horse got annoyed because the poor thing kept refusing and she smacked her quite a lot and the instructor did nothing.

I want to be an instructor, working towards exams now, and I probably would have taken the whip off her or at the very least told her off.

Yeah sorry for the stupid thread title didn't really know what to put.
Alright just wondering I think I would have in the same situation and my mum actually spoke to this girls dad about her using her whip too much.

I have and would again take the whip away from someone I considered to be using it inappropriately, I would also have given her a real telling off about it.

Ditto, have removed whips, spurs and even a bit ( yes, a bit ) from people who were incapable of using them appropriately! Some animated "counselling" would follow too. :D

I know of people who have sent clients out of a lesson, but I tend to work on the theory that, if they are in front of me, I can attempt to modify their behaviour and attitude towards their horses (rather than have them go somewhere else where they're allowed to beat the c**p out of them for little or no reason).
