I'm getting a bit desperate!
Basically I'm doing my uni dissertation on faecal fibre length before and after dentistry. So requires me collecting poo samples before dentistry and then 2 weeks after dentistry.
That's all going fine and dandy, trying to get about 50 horses and going well so far, but I also want to look into chewing rates (only for a small sample...say 10 horses?) before and after dentistry...see if they increase after dentistry due to the dental treatment.
This requires me to watch/film your horses chew a feed and I will record the number of chews and bites per minute.
No one seems to want to help me out with this
The data collection is very non-invasive and its all confidential/anonymous etc. And if you want I will be able to send out the results so you can see if your horses masticatory forces have improved therefore improving digestion of feed.
Does anyone know of any yards/riding schools that will be getting the dentist out within a couple of weeks? I am at Hartpury College, so anywhere in Gloucester, or around Somerset (live around Glastonbury way during holidays but willing to travel)
