Any Salukis here?

I'm sure I've blethered on about my Boston Terrier fixation quite enough

and so now I'll turn to Salukis, my other favourite breed.

Does anyone here own one? Care to post a picture or two for a huge Saluki fan?

My husband says I look like a Saluki (silky hair, skinny, pointy "*ahem* distinguished nose), and I can totally see it

I think that's why I'm drawn to them.

There was one in Central Park the other day and I was in awe. He was running loops, and zoning in on all the squirrels.

The rescue I volunteer for had a Saluki in last year. No-one knew what she was (she was the variety without the long hair) until I walked into the place and nearly fainted. Can you believe it -- a Saluki found wandering through the Bronx? I so regret not adopting her. She was wonderful, so mellow, loved other dogs, including small ones, and reliable off-leash.
