Helloo :)

I'm breaking up from school on Thursday which means a long, blissful month of the following:
Riding Brom, breaking in a youngster that belongs to another person at B's yard, trying to teach some manners to a little pony who's owner is also B's.
So basically riding riding riding, Oh and we're going skiing. But aaanyways :p

Was thinking about B and stuff and how i only really ever jump him, hack him or lunge/ ' school ' him.
Well i don't know a massive amount about schooling so i was wondering if any of you could give me some ideas?
A bit about Brom for those of you who don't know:
15.2hh Welsh Cob Gelding. About 12 i think. Schooled well but better on one rein than the other.
I would quite like him working in a better outline as one of the things -- how?!

:) :) :) PLEASE REPLY WITH IDEAS :) :) :)

Transitions! Loads and loads of transitions to get him working from behind. Things like Trot - halt - trot etc. Trotting poles and raised poles are a good way of getting them relaxed, stretching and engaged. Before he works on the bit I think he needs to loosen up on the rein he is bad on so spiralling and figures of 8, constant changing of direction etc will get him listening, active and hopefully supple. Some long and low thrown in there won't go a miss either :)
Hope this helps!
