Some well-known H&H vibes are needed please..
Sophie and I took a fall show jumping yesterday.
Misjudged the third fence which was off a corner. I don't actually remember anything that happened, but I'm told she got her legs caught between the top pole, caught her back leg on the fillers and went down. I was thrown off and thankfully she didn't land on me.
All I can remember is a few strides before the fence and saying "good girl" to her, and the next I was on back in agony, unable to breathe and in tears because I could see Sophie on her side, a pole caught between her legs and I was unable to help her. She managed to get up on her own and was caught by someone. I feel so bad for not being able to help her though as she has helped me so much this past year when we've got into tricky situations and she always tries her hardest for me.
The mum of girl I ride with took me home, Sophie's owners phoned my parents and made me go to A&E where I spent 45minutes waiting in my show stuff, stinking of horse crap
followed by 3 hours of being painfully poked and prodded by doctors. I had various x-rays on my chest and abdomen to make sure there was no cracked/broken ribs and no internal bleeding and on my left hip (where I apparently landed?
) The Doctor thought I'd fractured my hip because it was so swollen but nothing is broken, except my confidence.
Sophie is lame on her left-fore, her left shoulder is hot and swollen (she was hosed off as soon as it happened.) Her owner checked her this morning and he's going to get her back checked and she looks tight in it and her movement is quite stiff. She's 20 so it's going to take her a while to recover.
So, are there any of those vibes going spare?
