One of the horses on our little yard is quite poorly.

Came in on Saturday lunchtime barely able to walk. Looked as if he had tied up really badly. Vet came and was at a bit of a loss - gave him some antibiotics & antiinflammatories. Overnight he had hardly moved or eaten - drank a little but was struggling with breathing and very listless. Vet came back - suspected peritonitis so we took him up to Leahurst. Anyway, they ruled that out but were worried by a very low blood protein level. By Monday evening they had discovered that his chest cavity is full of blood! Don't know where it is coming from, but they have scanned him and can see a mass. Don't know if it is a blood clot or a tumour!
Current plan is to leave it for a couple of days to see if things get reabsorbed - if not, they will drain the blood and do more scans to see if they can see the heart better and if there is a tumour there. :(

So... any spare vibes for lovely Spring would be much appreciated, please.

Thanks.

What a dreadful situation for the owner!

I am delighted to say that we don't actually need any vibes atm, so you can have loads of ours <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<vibes>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for Spring.
