Any stabling local to Hickstead??

Try the lights, google Brendon stud... Not sure if they have liveries anymore but they're only 5-10 mins away. Or royal leisure is a livery yard - they'll def have stables as they don't use indoor ones I'm sure, owners name is Emily, again, only 10 mins away with good riding facilities.

If you are in the same section as us, then there is no stabling within at least 100 miles of Hickstead but if you are in the other section then there is stabling at Plumpton Racecourse - have look at the ROR website. Just trying to minimise the opposition.

Sorry but I am in disbelief... do you mean its £125 per night? so if you were staying 2 nights it would be £250? or do you have to pay for the stable for the duration of the event regardless of how many nights you stay, ie event lasts for 4 days so you have to pay £125 for four days even if you only use stable for 1 day?

It's £125 for the whole show. Which if you use it every day is reasonable, but the OP is only needing it for one night which isn't cost effective.

It might be worth sticking an ad in the local friday ad & seeing what's offered.

that is some what of an exaggeration, i kept my horse 35miles from hickstead and i think my YO would let someone stay for a night. i would try emily at royal leisure as they have overnight stabling for there shows so i wouldn't see it as a problem

thanks guys :) will have a ring around now I have some names of places!

Sorry it is £125 for duration of the show which I would have no problem paying if i was there for all of it or a couple of nights, but having to send the entry of asap I cannot afford that amount on top of entry for one night. And there isn't an option to stable for one night only at the derby meeting :/

I can offer overnight stabling for £25 per night. Takes me 25 minutes towing a horse trailer to Hickstead showground, main roads all the way, very easy drive, A217 then A23. Hookwood, nr Gatwick. Can stay in own box or B&B less then 5 mins away. pm me if interested.

We stayed at Plumpton racecourse with a couple of others last year. We stayed in the jockeys dorm for £10 each, cant remember how much stable was but not much. Great pub round the corner and about 20 mins from the showground.

Yes sorry that was my very weak attempt at humour. I am frequently told I am not as funny as I think I am!

Kidnapping the thread, well done Carefree Girl at Herts County.
