Hi just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get this mane to grow back? We have a showing show in about 5 weeks time. Is it possible? For it to be long enough for decent plaits. It’s only a local fun show but obviously we would still like to put our best foot forward
what is the best way to stop her rubbing it off? A Lycra hood? Baby oil? Manuka Honey? Perhaps some sort of shampoo or medicated shampoo? Not too sure I’m just making random guesses but if anyone has any suggestions I’d be grateful!

if not does anyone have any tips on the best way to plait this mane?
thank you

(first time I’ve posted an image on here so hoping this link works!)

I've used mtg for years on my Arab's it definitely works but it won't be an over night cure.

I used to show years ago and you can buy already plaited bits that you sew into the bit of mane you have for now though.

Agree. I used Shapleys MTG on my Fell pony's mane after he rolled over it and pulled a few chunks out.

It grew back quickly, is much stronger and doesn't pull out so easily now.

Only time and no rug will do it. Horses don't dissolve in rain.
I’ve taken her neck off, I know they dont but it also keeps her dry so I don’t have to wait hours for her to dry before I can ride and we’re in the north of Scotland and unfortunately forecast is rain for next 2 weeks

i always keep mane covered when turned out, i found one rug was doing it so sold it now i use a lighter weight rug with under rug so no weight on mane. Leaving her in a standard rug is the worst I can do as she rubs on trees etc and it goes.

I use
and keep the mane clean away from mud and rolling
