Any suggestions - looking for a horse!

We're looking for a new horse, must be a gelding and be kind/safe. We are happy to take on quirky, strong etc as long as he will hunt (or be willing to learn) - strong, capable lady rider waiting! Trouble is, we can't find anything to even go and see! Needs to be 16hh plus, max budget 3-4k.....any suggestions where to look? We're based in East anglia but will travel.

Sarah thorne has gorgeous one on Facebook but is somerset (unsure of price) and lovely 16.3 in Hampshire on horse and hound but made and again a way to travel!

I've got one - but I'd want more money for him (particularly having taken him to the Opening Meet yesterday )

Maybe you need to up the budget slightly? :/

I totally agree about the budget, but stubborn yard owner seems to think 3k is ample sadly.....I paid 4.5k for my "potential" hunter 15 years ago, he's worth his weight in gold now, but even at that price then I had to put in a lot of hard work to get him where he is today....my 6 year old was 3k unbroken (as a 3yo), so think she's definitely a bit hopeful on the price.....still, if she keeps looking and finds nothing then surely she'll up the budget eventually
