my horse seems very sensitive to bites.I only got him in June, when I went to see him he certainly wasnt covered in bites but within 24 of him being in my paddock i noticed he was being bitten and rushed out to get a flyrug for him.

This is a pic taken today, please ignore the very BHS (not) way of tying up:o Any thoughts? I wondered about it being a reaction but I dont put anything on him and its just on his shoulders:confused: I use coopers or avon skin so soft but only along his mane, nose, tummy and tail.

Eowyn and Dezi have had this. Is it like lots of little hard bumps with heads and when they start to go down the hair falls out as well???

If so I can recommend Killitch as its mostly likely either midges or Clegs doing it. We have a funny biting fly that hangs on upside down (smaller than a cleg) and the hang there until red and full then drop off and the lumps are left. You can mostly find them on the sheath or between back legs or even on any neck whorls etc.

With the wet I think the flies have mutated this year.

Hope this helps :)
