Any timber specialists in? Hemlock tree

Have just had 100 round fencing posts delivered and driver told me they were Hemlock and some Larch.

Is this Hemlock the same as the deadly Hemlock plant?

I was wasting my breath trying to explain about horses chewing posts as he said 'if they're insured then no problem'

I have googled it but cant find anything that will give me a yes or no.

Wiki suggests that Hemlock tree is in fact Tsuga--not related to hemlock and only named because of similar smell
