Anybody clipping now???

Yes, I clipped them about a month ago, and don't usually do them until early Jan for their second clip, but my mare is sweating a lot again. We've got a long ride to a horseman's carol service at the weekend, so I think I will do her again this week.

Yes, I need to clip on Saturday. it will be my fourth clip. I clipped in Sept when it was 28C, horse was a hairy yak and I wanted to do a fun ride. I gave him a trace clip which wasn't enough so he had a blanket clip a week or two later. This also turned out not to be enough so he had a hunter clip another couple of weeks after that. Now it's grown back so if my clipper blades ever come back from being sharpened, I will do him this weekend.

My fluffy cob is going to be clipped again this weekend. She was clipped at the beginning of November and you can hardly see the clip lines at all, she is getting sweaty when we are out hacking and is currently in a no fill rug.
PS Mijods how are you getting on with saddles?

My horse really needs a clip, but blades are off being sharpened and electrics broken for now :( he's super hairy and on his 3rd clip.

I'm just about to do my first clip. Been travelling for work and he's not in a huge amount of work.

Plus for some reason my tbs don't get their winter coat till very late so he's only had enough coat to start sweating up in the last fortnight. My other one who is retired also starts moulting early, sometimes end of January. He is a very hot horse and hates being overrugged too.

Clipping Breitlingh for the first time in a couple of days. Her coat only seems to have thickened up this last couple of weeks. She didn't need clipping at all last year. Not sure if she's ever been clipped before. May be in for fun and games!

Have clipped twice so far, and was just thinking today that it looks like I'll need to clip again during the Christmas holidays. Hopefully that will do him until I take everything off in about March, but I might be being optimistic ...
