Millie started moulting about 2 days ago and now its a full on hair explosion. Hoping it means spring is on the way! Anybody else's horse moulting? Surprised that she's started doing so already.

Gosh I hope so!! No sign of any coat loss in yorkshire but roll on better weather (please!!)
I am in Yorkshire and Jay has been lightly shedding for a week or so...

Yes the one that's not clipped is moulting heavily .

All of mine are unclipped and not one of them is showing any signs. Fingers crossed!!

My horses are not casting their coats yet.
Only one has and only his head I think it's just because it's getting lighter for longer now that's what's often causes them to start moulting not the weather.
