Anybody interested in joining me for Level 2 TREC pairs at Keysoe on the 1st (http://www.bhs.org.uk/enjoy-riding/...ts/brc-and-bhs-trec/trec-1-2-june-13-keysoe)?

Pony is very nice as a buddy out hacking and I can just about navigate alright (and he's pretty competitive PTV/COP if you care!), just a bit of a knob by himself, so if anyone wants to join me, I'd be super grateful! Could be convinced to do L3 if prefered, though would rather do L2.

It does involve an overnight at Keysoe though...

Bah humbug - bad BHS website

http://www.bhs.org.uk/enjoy-riding/...ents/brc-and-bhs-trec/trec-1-2-june-13-keysoe

L2 is up to 20km (but the speeds tend to be pretty slow). Control of paces (slow canter then fast walk in 100m corridor (doesn't matter if it's rubbish - Fergs gets near enough 0 for all his walks!) and PTV - 15 obstacles over a course up to 5km (I've never seen one 5km long yet though!). Things like natural fences, steps/drops, riding up/down inclines, water (to be walked through), gates, led ditches, S-bends etc. You can avoid obstacles and score 0 for them though.

Major point is that it's a 2 day event (orienteering one day, PTV/CoP the next), with corralling overnight. And you need a body protector for the PTV as of this year.

It's good fun though :)

I would love to gove it a go - havent done full blown trec, just arena stuff, and then not with this horse. I cant navigate at all - but prepared to give it a go. If you dont get a better offer PM me!

Thanks - I'm waiting to hear back from Angua2 (as we've done pairs together before) but if she can't make it, I'd love to meet a new Trec buddy - I am a big fan of both coffee and bagels, so I'm sure we'd have fun (though I can't guarentee I won't try to eat you ;) )

If this goes ahead I insist that I get to come and meet you! Keysoe is five minutes away and we can drink tea and I can meet the Famous Fergs!

(nothing like forcing yourself on people ay!?)

Oh that would be great - I love a nice meet up!

Not sure who will be my buddy yet, but definitely planning to be there so you'd be very welcome! :)

Hi coffee, thanks so much for the offer. I *think* dafthoss and I are going to do it, as the plan is to jet off to milton keynes after the CoP/PTV on the sunday for a jumping clinic  (Whch everyone who lurks in C&T knows very well I badly need!)

However, there are plenty of events coming up so if you're up for a future one, sometime, I'd love to join you! Never had the luxury of more than one option for pairs before - I'm just going on who I've spoken to about it first

Vallin, hope pony is ok??

Tell me about it

Was rather concerned I wouldn't get paid again this month for some temp work I did (should've got it last month  ) which would've scuppered my plans too

If you fancy some xc next month though and want a buddy y'know where I am ;) :D
