A long shot but worth an ask!
A very good friend is giving up his sport and sadly his 6 horses & ponies have to go. Amongst this group, two are being offered up free to good home, one is an ornament who is a bit of a danger to ride out of the school (lets just say he likes to run!) and sharp as hell in the school hence he's a lawnmower and a little welsh x Shetland looking mare who was a kids pony in a former life (I will add that both are mid to late teens so blood bank not an option). The sensible PTS option apparently isn't an option, but, for the pony, the RDA was suggested and I've tried to get hold of the South Bucks RDA with no joy so far :(
Is there anybody involved in a group in the midlands that they know may be interested in a pony and has useful direct contacts to the people who run the group? (Or alternatively is there anybody who'd like a kids pony?! :p ). I'd take over ownership and she would be loaned out as not only do I want control of what happens to her but she also has melanomas so I don't want to saddle anybody with any bills relating to those xx

We have an RDA group that is run from our yard and the ponies are kept there. I'll ask my YM for you but they seem to prefer bigger ponies although they have used the dartmoor pony my son rides a few times. How big is the pony and is it quite stocky?
