Blimey there are so cheap where you all live. Currently Snowflake shavings are around £10.75 here and for a non-named slightly smaller bale approx £9.25. The downside of living on an island.

Not sure what the prices are now, but back in the spring i was paying £8.50 for a bale of hemp, shavings were about £10 per bale. Seems unbelieveable that you have to pay that much for your horse to s**t on, lol!

Oh well set for another expensive winter unless can try to persuade OH to fork out for rubber matting!!

went to the fed shop the other day and they are £7.50 a bale. Im going to use easi bed this year as iv had brilliant results with it in the past. And is slightly cheaper than shavings in my area.

will only go up and up from now on. a supply and demand thing! bedmax is fairly stabled price as a manufactured product, but not very absorbant! best with some fine shavings or dust underneath. i bought all this years bedding 4 months ago and got good deals!
