just wondered if anybody rode with these, i've been looking at them for ages , especially the nylon version with the cages, i mainly hack but i do a lot of miles in and out of valleys and it's hard on my left knee which has a bit of arthritis in it, i like the look of these stirrups but they are quite expensive so a bit of a costly mistake if they are horrible.
thanks for you help!!

Here we are, is this the ones you mean OP? http://www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/P/...nylon_endurance_stirrup_with_cage-(1514).aspx

I ride with "caged" endurance-style stirrups which look identical to this, but I don't think they are the same brand.

These state they are "lighter" than the aluminium ones (??) but they unfortunately do not state how heavy these actually are!

The only drawback with the stirrups I have and which I ride in regularly (bought them from Performance Equestrian) is they're old-style ones and are quite heavy and a little bit cumbersome TBH:(.

I did think to replace them with some lighter-weight ones. These look good, but I'd want to know the weight first.

I ride with "caged" endurance-style stirrups. The tread of them is much wider than an ordinary stirrup iron, which means you don't get sore across the ball of the foot like you do with ordinary steel-irons.

Plus they are supposed to have a bit of give in them as well.

I don't know about the E-Z ones, haven't seen them; can you post a link please OP??

hoping this works! i looked at some reviews on the E-Z stirrups and some said the original aluminium version was quite heavy so i thought the nylon version would be lighter,

Have a look at Smartrider stirrups. Really comfy with a deeper footbed, safety release and a mounting aid. The nylon ones not the s steel.

yes , they are the ones! looked on Ebay , they have some,( £72, i think) also some similar but the quality looks a bit dodgy on the tread

I have the the ones on the link in MiJodsR2BlinkinTite post ... and I love them. Really comfy, I struggle to ride in anything else now :) Mine were about £70 from Performance Equestrian

I have the ezi ride plastic fantastics, have endurance ridden and trained thousands of Km's in them and love them. My knees, ankles and feet love them and they last forever. Safe to say I'm a fan.

I've ordered the E-z Ride nylon ones for my western saddle, should be arriving early next week, I spent ages looking around but couldn't find anything else suitable. I hope they are light and strong as they cost enough!
