Well Chris Caden Parker was a lecturer at college when I was there many years ago & really knew her stuff on a very scientific level, but apart from that I am no use!...

I'd steer well clear of this! Just because it works in humans doesn't mean it will have any effect on horses what so ever.

Can you imagine having to ask for it!!??

Just out of interest, what are you feeding her? My mare used to be on Regumate but I spoke to someone at Burghley and changed feeds and she's been fine since then. I know it has been winter but she has definately been much better.

Might be worth a try but depends exactly what you are trying to control with it...

Trying to control the Orange Madam's hormones/behavioual issues!!

Posted in Comp riders about bad day Sunday - her fieldmate was out jumping at the same show as us, and I stuggled to do anything with May as she is soooo attached to this horse! She was OK until I took her off the hormonal mare, put her back on it, but its not having the same effect as it did.

. I'm afraid Regumate is the only thing that worked.

I've used it on daughter's pony who can be quite hormonal in summer and it worked very well. Was recommended to use it on her by OH who had noticed an enormous difference in one of the mares he shoes since the owner had put her on Slut Mix.

Have had trouble obtaining it, so switched to Hormonise which has the same active ingredient, Agnus castus.

Oh well, can only give it a try before I stick her on Project Horses website!!!!!!!!!!!

Was a bit worried about the side effects of Regumate, (on me, not madam!)

Ah - the regumate is fine! Sister wussed out of adding it to her horses feed, I did it! Just use gloves and don't get it on your skin. Dead easy!
