Anybody use a micklem bridle with a gag or handing cheek?

Thinking of trying these bridles but read you cant use with a gag or hanging cheek.

Boy is in two ring (NS universal) or hanging cheek - does anyone use one? or if you were in same situation did you have to switch bits and which to? - Doubt going to a loose ring would be good idea for fast work?!!

Yes, a friend uses one with a NS universal (for jumping) and her her works nicely in it

My daughter uses a tom thumb on her pony as it is the only bit that will fit with the micklem as the others have bit rings that don't work with the length of the cheek pieces. I am not overly keen on the tom thumb (nor is the pony), but otherwise she hasn't a hope of holding him out hunting

I use mine with a hanging cheek, don't think the rings on my gag are small enough that the bit wouldn't be too low though. Could you borrow a Micklem from someone to see if it would work?

I use mine with a hanging cheek... works fine for me. I could see how it might not be adjustable enough to use a dutch gag on though.
