Sorry, no help at all, but I read your post's title & thought it was something to stop a horse neighing when being ridden! And I thought, OMG I could *really* do with something like that as mine is deafening when she's in the mood.

Hope you get some useful answers & that your horse is better soon.

Hiya, my friend bought some last year to help her elderly horse who was developing non-healing scuffs on his fetlocks.

Unfortunately they didn’t work for him, as they bunched down into his pasterns overnight which made it even more difficult for him to rise.

But, they quality was good, and they seemed well made. They have a definite top and bottom and are clearly marked, and weren;t too difficult to get over the hoof.

I use them for my old horse who gets vasculitis. They worked well for him, obviously different to a wound but the only thing really that seemed to help him.
I found they stayed in place pretty well, you do have to be sure to get the correct size. I think they would be a nightmare to get on and off daily and over shoes is pretty difficult too!
My horse is retired so once they are in place they stay on and i just remove now and then to swap and wash.
