Anybody watching Andy Murray?

Can't stand him, wouldn't support him in a million years! Plus the close up slow-mo shots they do of him are just horrible :D

C'mon Mr Serbia!

I had to change my Horses name from Murray to Murphy, because I can not stand him!! Hope Djokavic (?) wins!!!

Also, all that swearing - I don't care how frustrated you are, you are Britains best and a role model so all the negative body language and foul language has to stop, and I hope someone tells him that. Makes me hate him even more.

I had my money on Joker - Murray has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years but when the chips are down he quickly folds.

Oh yes, a note to other posters - to be on top - you have to be able to win ugly. You'll be surprised how many ugly people there are about who just happen to be very good at what they do - and do you know? They're surrounding by good looking people.

Never mind his looks, he can't cope without mummy dear who has the same temperament as Andy who unfortunately is dour, arrogant and totally lacking social skills.

No wonder Britain isn't that great at sport. Seems to me you have to be good looking and oh so polite 1st and talented after that to please the "fans". At least Scotland did have someone good enough to at least be playing in the Australian open...how many gorgeous delightful guys did England manage? Re being lily livered wasn't it the Serb who withdrew from the semis of Wimbledon because of...wait for it, blisters. I can just see the likes of Tony McCoy giving up a good ride for that reason!!!! I don't like Murray from what I know of him, however he is ranked 5th/ maybe 4th now in the world and neither England nor Scotland can boast many world class athletes, far less charming ones. We'll be doing well to finish 5th in many events in the Olympics!

Totally agree. For goodness sake the man came SECOND in the Australian Open.
If it was WFP or someone in similar they would be lauded as a hero.
Never mind all the people Murray had to beat to get to the final, the fact that he was outplayed by a fantastic opponent means he's shite.

we are stuck witha characterless dour scot who has no clue how to smile and spends half his games looking at mummy dearest, why cant we have a polite new Tim Henman-or characters likeFederer or Nadalwho know how to enjoy themselves?

Because I'd rather they have talent for their sport than crowd pleasing. Yes there is a balance, but I find Nadals character fairly annoying, anytime I've watched him he's been having a strop but then I'm not a regular tennis watcher...

Also, no idea what the whole mummy issues are about? Wasn't aware she existed tbh, then again I'm not the most observant. ;)

Talented enough to make the finals of the Australian Open? ;)

Load of bitter old sods on this forum.

why am i a bitter old sod then tinkerbee, because my opinion differs from yours? You cant fail to miss murray mummy, her mouth is as big as his, her temper matches his and i dont think much of a woman who leaves the home to push her 2 brats into a sport- case of money, money, money.,and me, me, me.

No, because you can't accept someone's achievements because he isn't as happy clappy as you'd like.

I never said you were bitter, old or a sod though. ;)

Well, I've never heard of her so can't say she or what she chooses to spend her time on, bothers me.

I really am quite bemused about the comments re "mummy". I was always lead to believe Pony Club mothers were in a league all to themselves! Could I ask, how many children/young people who are lucky enough to even ride, far less own god knows how many ponies/horses at a young age could possibly afford to do this WITHOUT M, D or friend? Riding more than any sport I know perhaps with the exception of Formula 1 or powerboat racing is totally reliant on MONEY being available to be able to participate, and lots of it if you wish to compete other than locally. I certainly have come across mothers from hell even at the lower levels of competition, at least Mrs Murray can't affect the results, known mothers who have at equestrian events!!!!

Nobody is saying the Murray family are your ideal neighbour type, BUT the fact remains Andy has worked incredibly hard to get as good as he has, I could make a long list if very successful sports people who I wouldn't want to meet or meet again which includes some who appear "awfully nice" on the TV but on meeting certainly are NOT!
