Yes I did it for a year.
I worked a full time job 8-4pm Monday to Friday, would do my horse either side of that then head off for my evening shift 6-10pm, did this 3 nights a week and would sometimes do an early shift 6am-10am on a saturday.
Its tough but possible

Yes, I'm a full time teacher, work a bar one night a week and also host karaokes and discos over the weekends. I have 3 ponies on DIY one who is due to be backed this year. They all live out. Through the winter they're only really worked at the weekend and during the summer they're worked on the evenings i'm not working.

wow how do you all do it?!
especially with teaching full time, how do you do that?!
I am a f/t PhD student (teach 5 hours a week with that) and work sat/sun 10pm-3am have two horses on DIY. Have been offered ten hours barwork a week, across the week I guess, or have an interview for a sat/sunday job, 6.30am-1.30pm- I was planning on doing one of these alongside the PhD, horses and job I already have- is this madness!?

It depends what you want to do with your horses really. I do a bit of showing and the odd long distance ride, but thats all at the minute. As mine are all natives it doesn't really affect them in anyway if they're not ridden one week. I keep them fit by doing a lot of ground work, generally loose schooling or i ride and lead, when i dont have time to ride all of them.

It is possible :)

I have two Jobs one is 3hrs a week the other varies from 10-20 hrs a week both of them I do on a weekend and i go to uni during the week. It is possible to afford a horse and do it but if anything goes wron it makes it very hard. Luckily my parents have paid for my horses excessive vet treatment, we got £5k on insurance and looking at another £3k (parents are taking out a loan and i intend to pay them back) but I can afford her upkeep etc quite comfortably but don't really have any money spare.
