Anyone there tomorrow?

i'm making the trek up on my own tomorrow so would love some company if anyone is around?

I have a 9.36 dressage, 10.26 SJ and 11.16 XC

I'll also be walking the XC about 7.30 so again if anyone will be around about the same time would be nice to have a buddy!

I'm not as funnily enough I decided not to enter as was worried the ground would be too hard (as Elmwood is flat @ hard ground normally) it appears it's probably going to be the complete opposite lol!
Good luck and enjoy xx

Ground was brilliant and such a lovely well run event - it was a long trip for us at over 80miles one way but i'd definitely do it again.

We had a great day nice dressage for 30.3. un characteristic 2 down showjumping, no time also uncharacteristic! Amazing clear XC the first fence was causing particular issues as were a couple further round but she just few straight out the start box and didn't blink at a thing - live feed showed we finished 3rd so waited for a couple of hours for results to be updated in the tent only to find we'd been eliminated for missing out a b element at 9! Doh! in my vague defence i didn't walk a b part at 9 as i genuinely didn't know there was one, If i'd seen fence 9 labelled as a 9a i would have looked for a 9b but i didn't see anything so there we go! on to the next one!

Oh no re the elimination! It happened to someone else I talked to (fence 11 I think, 70cm - she didn't see a part b either)... must admit we course walked on the day (for the 70) and found some of it confusing. Fence 9 was confusing as I couldn't work out whether there was a jump into the water or not for daughter's class, and had to ask at the secretary's tent for clarification.

30 dressage is awesome :)

80 miles is a heck of a journey, I was moaning about our hour each way! But it is such a friendly venue isn't it.

i was a bit annoyed at the time as i genuinely had no clue it was an A/B fence. I wonder if maybe the blue coloured A had slipped or twisted over night as i only saw the number 9 so didn't go looking for a B part. ahh well, i had a long time to think about it on the way round and really the only differing thing is that i didn't bring home a frilly, i still had an amazing ride of a star of a horse. The course was causing a fair bit of trouble so i was ecstatic that she just cruised round!

How did you guys get on?

Sounds like you had a fab day regardless! Well done.

We had an interesting start. We got 20 mins down the road and realised we didn't have daughter's hat or BP. With having to turn round, being caught in traffic and having a diversion we arrived 15 mins before dressage time. Oooops!

Was over the moon. Daughter was riding older sister's pony who she doesn't ride very often. As far as I could see she was youngest in class and he was the smallest pony. They got time penalties XC for being too quick (he is like greased lightning) but cane 2nd. It was only their 2nd go at 70 and only their 3rd ever ODE. I was a bag of nerves but she was cool as a cucumber, bless her.

If you're going there again, shout. If we are going I will look out for you :)
