Anyone been to the British Open this week?

We went yesterday, no bargains i'm afraid, I bought a show bridle for the hunter but paid top money for it.

I was quite suprised by how small the set up is compared to HOYS and Olympia, but a good day out none the less.

went wed! shopping virtually the same as last year. i think everything is negotiable! the more you want the more you can haggle! got a couple of good deals! depends what you are after! sj was good the h factor raised my eyebrows above my hairline.............

H factor was decent at best and horrific at worst. One of those moments you wished people couldn't just 'have a go'. Especially weds.
Shopping was a bit disappointing but as said above there were decent deals to be had if you looked. Far too many delays in the arena to make it competition to HOYS as far as entertainment goes but a good day out none the less.

Yes was a good day ;-)

Think the scurry was best part on Weds, very exciting, and how fast are those lil ponies?

Me me me! :)

I went yesterday. Shopping was **** and the food there is extortionate but the horsey stuff was really great. We saw loads of classes (only missed the Scurry in the evening and was gutted to miss the Classic in the afternoon because I got my times mixed up!). Indoor XC was fantastic, so much fun, and really enjoyed the final class. I was also totally amazed at the PC/RC class... 128cm ponies just popping over things I wouldn't jump on my 17hh!!

Great day and would definitely go again, though shopping is better at other events.

Also watched a bit of Parelli... what a load of rubbish. They were claiming to "cure" loading probs yet used horses that have been Parelli brain washed to such an extent they looked like they wished the ground would open up and swallow them. I can't believe people criticise Monty Roberts for spending 15 mins with a horse he's never met before at a demo, then the Parelli lot bring along their *own* horses! PMSL.

I went yeaterday, dont know if I will go back, shopping not so good, classes were good but nothing compaired to HOYS and I dont know about what others thought ..... too many breaks I was up and down out of that seat like a yo yo.

Liz
