Has anyone bought or even just been to see a horse with a really bad photo on the advert?? And more so, do you have a copy of the pic to show us???
I went to see my mare with the following photos, which aren't too bad but could be better....

(Excuse the meatball, but it's not me riding, obviously!)

Murphy's ad didn't have a photo but they emailed me one which was awful - fat dirty pony! And his advert was about 8 words long! Still, I went to see him and the rest is history

bought my best horse ever from a short text only ad in the paper. Knew she was mine the moment I read the ad, despite being advertised as an appaloosa and not actually having any appy in her! (she's a knabstrupper pony!), when I went to see her it was love at 1st site.

i went and saw my boy from an ad in the local freeads...saw him from a distance in the field and when owner called his name he looked up and I instantley knew I'd have him..although I did try him too...his wasn't in the best condition either but saw through that....and he went peacefully not so long ago...but had an amazing 10years with him!!
I'd always recommend seeing the horse in person and trying it out for your purpose.
good luck

Yep, Roo's advert showed a pic of her at other end of an arena and she was going around the corner, with bum facing camera. Couldn't see any detail.
The advert just said something about being a 14 year old shire x tb and good to do. Novice ride but not novice to jump.
I went to see her because she had shire in her, and I instantly fell in love

Both photos of my boy were rubbish, i only called up to see him as i was in the area and had already seen two really rubbish horses that day. Walked on the the yard and couldnt even tell what horse it was i was there to see despite teh fact he was standing right infront of me.
I actually got a bargin when i bought him and doubt that id have ended up with him if he had had a better advert as he had been for sale for a few months and dont think the owner had had much success.
