Has anyone bought a wow saddle on ebay and then got a fitter out to change plate etc.
If so how much did it cost and did they just change the plate and charge you or did you need to buy different panels etc.?

it normally costs me £50 for a fitter..and my fitter just switched my plate-but we had bought the saddle from her in the first place. You may well need to change the panels-but if the seat and flaps are alright then hopefully you will be ok.

On their website you may be able to read up on the panels to see which ones you think would best fit your horse so you have a rough idea!

Yes I bought a wow dressage saddle, having already bought a XC wow for other horse, so knew which bits and what size I wanted.
For a check up, travel and a new headplate cost was £70/£80

The pannals are expensive to change, I think something like £300-400? So make sure they are going to be suitable.
My fitter charges about £40 to check the fit and then the cost of a headplate if I need one.

I bought one 2nd hand & it was £1,000. Spent £450 on some new flaps. The fitter was very good & just swapped the headplate & it cost £50 for fitting.

I'm getting better at changing the panels, but the test will come on Sat where I've got to try & swap them between phases at an arena eventer trial. It's a bit like doing studs - there's always one bu**er that doesn't want to go in!
