Whats it like there?

Have qualified for SE Championship thing there at the end of May but would like to get to an unaff dressage show there before the end of May really as Blue is not very good first time at new places

I did several times a few yrs ago & really liked it. Plenty of space. They have a website which should show all the forthcoming events.

The best part was that they updated the scoreboard very quickly and it was easy to tell what you got & the sheet was ready fast too.

I haven't competed there but have been. Very nice venue, very organised from what I saw.

Would love to compete there one day, but after one dressage test we would look silly in your average unaffiliated class

Its a really nice venue. They have 2 full size warm up arenas so no overcrowding. There are 2 test arenas, the Jaap Pot and the International area. If you go onto the dressage at Hickstead website there should be a link to the unaffiliated shows that they are holding there - think the first one is in April. Very friendly - and just because it is at "Hickstead" do not feel that it is full of fabulous horses - it is no different to any other affiliated competition!

Its really nice - warmup and test arenas are lovely. Two full sized warmups and then the test arenas. The Jaap arena isnt as nice as the International one, but still really nice! (if that makes sense!). Can be quite spooky and its quite a long walk from the warmup to the international arena.
