As title really? Trying to work out whether part of this year's quest for warm feet can be putting riding boots on warm feet at home and keeping them on rather than changing in and out of cold boots once at the yard!

Thought best get a guide before I 'experiment' in the car.

I drive in any thing, wellies, long boots, country boots, muckers, even my 6" platform dancing shoes.

No problem in driving in them, however my country boots have started to wear on the heel, where I rest it on the floor when driving :o

yep i do, but then i am a very talented driver ;) haha, have been told by many men that i am the best driver they know! Haha, seriously though, yeh, why not. If you have ones that zip down the back, just unzip them a bit to give your leg more manoeuverability (sp?)

Drive in anything, high heels, wellies, slippers etc & have done from day 1 TBH. Would drive in bare feet if I had to!
Just need to give it a go & take it a bit steady until you get used to the feel of the pedals through your boots. :)

Yes, but be wary if your boots are very stiff or have smooth/slippery soles.

I frequently drive back from comps in my long boots and with my spurs still attached! Stopped off to pick up a takeaway from a very posh restaurant like this recently too, got some very odd looks!

Yep I drive in my Dubarrys, short ariats, bare foot etc - was just more worried whether they may be a problem being tighter round the ankle.

Will give it a go (slowly) thanks.

Ditto on this one, not the posh restaurant though!! I think its the spurs when we get "the look"!!!!!!:p

I not only drive the lorry in long boots and spurs but also frequently drive in my riding hat. It keeps my head warm and at least I know I have it with me!

A good idea, I once couldnt find my hat, thought 'oh well it will be in the back somewhere' Went to reverse out of the lorry park, and CRUNCH, I drove over it. It was quite spectacular to behold a crushed hat though! :P Sorry a bit off topic :D

I don't drive the lorry in my long riding boots after the sole slipped over the clutch pedal when they where damp lucky I was on my drive at the time gave me a scare was so glad it did not happen on the road.

Yep I do :) I do have one pair that are quite stiff and tight, which took a little getting used to (Kept getting the top of the boot stuck on the edge of the seat :o) but they're fine now :)
