See its up to you and it depends what sort of a job you are doing. We dealt with it by creating an internet cafe in the staff restaurant so you could take an honest break and surf away!

The trouble with personnel surfing in business time is that a) they clog the network and b) some work twice as hard the rest of the time but some dont.

I will get off my High Horse now but in my experience the less able managers always wanted to know about a member of staffs internet useage if they were in a disciplinary situation so I guess if you are good bunnies you dont need to worry but if you are bone idle time wasters you should.
 
At work, but i think the IT people at the University have better things to do with their time thankfully!!! Otherwise I would be in big trouble no doubt

Well, im a nurse, i have my own patient list and as long as I see my patients and check my blood/lab results and all my stuff is up to date and everyone is still alive at the end of the day, im pretty much left to my own devices. Phew.
