I always thought he was one of the good guys and a strong role model but as it appears the only difference was he seems to have been better keeping his skanky behaviour hidden for longer.

Such a shame.

I have been a big fan of his for years.. i met him when i was 13years old at a United match and always admired his image of a family man. I was gutted when i heard all about this, i think his wife is very attractive too and dispointed he chose someone like Imogen who seems to be famous for a wannabe wag.

i cant help feel a little sorry for Imogen, not much as she was having an affair and really you get what you pay for, but the gags and the fact that she says she genuinely loved him is quite sad.

I feel no ounce of sorry towards her, she knew what she was getting into when she started it all. The fact she is now courting all the publicity and practically rubbing it in the face of his wife i find sickening, i think alot of people would have a little bit more sympathy if she kept hush.

I do aswell, she seems a lot more vulnerable than some of these girls whose career goal is to grab a footballer. Yes she was wrong to get involved but if a wealthy attractive footballer comes your way I bet there's an awful lot of girls would say yes and lets face it all men find the flannel and say the right things when they want an extra marital, its just dependant on if they find someone naive enough to believe them and in this case I think he did.

I don't feel sorry for her or for anyone else who goes after a married man, however I can certainly see why she has spoken to the media. She had been named weeks ago and hounded by the press, while being forced to keep quiet about the man who was "playing happy families" with his wife and promoting a perfect life... She was probably livid at him by that point. I once had a weekend fling with a guy that I really liked at Uni. A few days later I bumped into him with his girlfriend (who I hadn't known had existed). He chatted to me and introduced me to his girlfriend. I stood there in a state of shock. chatting back on automatic. I later wondered why I had protected the cheating rat!

To me, he is by far the worse one of the two - he paid to cover up his cheating life so that his wife, and the rest of the world, would think he was Mr Perfect. Thats pretty disgusting to me. I can't say I'm disappointed in him - he's an overpaid footballer, and thats pretty much what I expected from him. I don't believe that many of them are nice characters. They are given far too much money from a young age and grow up like spoilt kids. My friend went out with him briefly years ago, and he was a brat them.

Ok fair enough she has put her side across - but how many times does she needs to go on tv/radio etc crying about it? she chose to continue with the affair knowing what his situation was.. now she can deal with the consequences... Giggs also.

I just hate the fact she is trying so desperately to portray herself as the "wronged woman".. i dont think i have ever seen/read/heard her show any kind of remorse for his wife or kids.. disgusting.

My father was in professional football for 24 years and is certainly not surprised by the goings on.

The difference being nowadays the girls can make a fast buck by selling their sordid little stories. When he was in football, the players weren't in the general public's eye as much as now and not many people would be that interested.

It makes me howl :D that the same woman is connected to more than one 'celebrity'. Have they got no morals or self esteem? Or maybe they see it as a way to make their fortune by just picking the rich guys.
And how does said 'celebrity' feel, knowing he's stirring Wayne Rooney (et als) porridge :o:eek:??

My sister, bless her, has a list of "Dad figures". They're basically people she'd want to be her dad if we didn't have our dad (who is fab :D). Gary Barlow has been a constant on that list, as has Ryan Giggs. Needless to say she's been extremely disappointed over the last few weeks!

I wonder if its just us women that don't like cheating men who forget their families and the hurt it causes and if to men he's some kind of hero cos you'd need some stamina to keep three women happy at the same time. That and the fitness required on the pitch.

Oh well I think i've just worked out why he looks as thin as a whippet.

I am more surprised he hasnt had any groin strains this year!?

I am not condoning what Imogen Thomas did but that was between her and Ryan Giggs. It should also be noted that this all came out because she went to Giggs and warned him that a paper was after him. Now I appreciate that this information came from Max Clifford who she went to, but equally, he (Max Clifford) has been around for a very long time and isn't about to compromise himself over one more girl/cheating footballler. Therefore I believe him. Imogens name was plastered all over the press courtesey of the super injunction and she could say nothing. I am now going back to google her to see what exactly she has said/sold because I thought she was going to keep her silence.

And I am not going to offer sympathy to Ryan Giggs wife. She is a beautiful woman who doesn't look like she needs my unwanted pity! I do, however, have admiration for how she is holding up her head - which she should do. She did nothing wrong.

I'm feeling some sympathy for Giggs' brother - it now appears that Ryan has been having an 8 year affair with his wife!

Yuck. The whole thing is vile and distasteful.

I think his wife will stay with him tbh. Its amazing what women will put up with when they have children.

And now its come out about his brothers wife he'll be a laughing stock. No-one decent likes a player. What a silly silly man. The injunction and trying to sue twitter was just about the most stupid thing he could have done, what was
he thinking ?..

Its not the courts rogues have to be worried about anymore its the internet.

Sympathy for either of them is ridiculous, Giggs was married, Thomas knew he was married, they are both as guilty as the other!

A one off mistake is, if not forgiveable, understandable, we are all human and therefore prone to human mistakes, but an ongoing affair? That takes some sort of nasty, calculated planning and lying to carry it off.

If someone feels that they want to have an affair with another, then perhaps they should accept that the original relationship is wrong and do the 'honest thing' rather than let the 'cheated party' find out later that they have been subject to such deceipt, which inevitably leads to that person being affected far more than breaking up at the outset. The problem is, the adulterer is a pretty insecure person and needs to hold on to the first relationship in case the new one goes wrong, they are incapable of coping with life alone........but that's just my opinion!

Imogen Thomas is an ex-Big Brother contestant on the make. She has little in the way of steady income. I do not believe for one second that she was in love with him. Why would she think he was going to leave his wife? He only ever saw her in hotel rooms.

Max Clifford has done an excellent job of getting public sympathy for her but I'm afraid the only thing she's crying about is the £400k she lost out on by not being able to sell the story. You've got to hand it to him - he's now making her money out of not being able to make money out of the story. Very cute.

Totally agree with this statement! What an idiot he has shown himself to be. I do feel something to Imogen if she is to believed that she thought he loved her and would leave his wife, yes it's a cliche and we know they never do, but people fall in love and all brains dissapear out the nearest window and this type of man seems to know exactly what to say to a woman, let's face it he's clearly very good at it by keeping all these women under his 'spell'! His wife seems to be the only one handling herself with any dignity at the moment, I hope in private she is giving him hell.

This guy is totally immoral. Betraying his wife, children and his brother is about as low as it gets. His selfish behaviour will have far reaching effects on his whole family and what he has done will follow his children all their lives.
His children are 7 and 4 years old. Maybe instead of trying to gag the media to 'protect' his children, he should have kept his trousers on instead.
Nasty little weasel.

Don't feel remotely disappointed by him personally as I don't know him. His wife, brother and children must be devastated, embarassed, furious, upset and everything else though.
