We moved the fence in our paddock yesterday as the horses had eaten all the grass down. My horse came in last night and was very quiet head down looking sorry for himself, he wasn't stressed heart rate normal. He gut sounds normal. He would just make this strange groaning/ belching sound. I left him about half an hour then gave him a small feed and his net which he ate no problem. YO checked on him later and he had poo'd. This morning he was back to his normal self. So we moved the fence back again so they still had a little more grass but no where near as much. I didn't put him out until about 12 and fetched him in at 3.30 he was quiet again but again no signs of stress. I'm putting him out tomorrow in a muzzle as I'm thinking he is gorging while he's out, if he is the same then I will be calling the vet out.
