I left my shetland in the field and took my sis in law out with the two big uns - bridlepath runs right past our gate and goes for miles. Both horses were fine considering neither has been ridden in weeks, but about 20 mins later i saw a little head bobbing along the path behind us. My recently escaped shetland pony coming hell for leather towards us.

Sis in laws horse which was behind absolutely pood himself. Barged past me and Alfie on a corner, and bolted with my sis in law. As he passed us my stirrup leather came off resulting in my being ditched in a tangle of barbed wire and alfie jumped over the stile into the farmers field. Thankfully everyone's okay, and Alfie only has superficial scrapes. Sis in law was just a bit confused and has some bruising. I'm cut to shreds and have a few broken fingers but the vicar patched me up.

Jeffing shetland pony! It wouldnt be so bad if she hadnt already broke my electric fencing, eaten alfies breakfast and trashed a stack of hay bales before I arrived there this morning. She never normally minds being left alone, but today i think she had the wind in her tail. Meh.
