I wondered if there were other people that find having lessons as addictive as me?! And does anyone have a cure as it is very bad for the bank balance!?

If i have good lesson i just want to book another one straight away for asap. I think it is the fact that the horse gives you instant feedback and it is great if you have improved during the lesson, but then i just want to improve and do more! If things go badly i still want another lesson to see if i can improve.

Do people that hack a lot feel the same about hacking? Is it the same if you have your own horse instead or sharing or just having lessons?

It doesn't help that i had lessons at Talland for a year then moved away but am back near Talland for about a month. It is so nice to ride horses that do what you ask (and could do a lot more if i was capable of asking!). I think i'll just raid my savings for a bit!

I love my lessons =D I wish I could afford more than one a week =( I have a fantastic instructor and the improvement is tremendous not to mention that I enjoy the lessons so much!

As for hacking, meh, I hate it I have to MAKE myself hack once a week so my pony doesn't get stale.

I have a lesson every Sunday. My instructor is great and the improvement in my horse is very obvious, I do worry about how much I spend, but if I had the money I would go twice a week.

I used to hate lessons when I had a horrible instructor and my horse hated them as well so spent the entire lesson finding ways to chuck me off. It was so much easier just to hack out.

Now I love my instructor and she really pushes me in my lessons. I pay no attention to the time, and at the end of the lesson it feels like I have only been riding for about 10 mins but I am knackered and the horse is knackered as well - turns out its been an hour and a half.

I especially love riding my horses after she has ridden them - they are so light in the hand with so much impulsion ... then I feel depressed because I can never get them like that then I want another lesson again! Although nothing beats an early morning hack!

I used to love hacking and hate lessons, am now the other way around.

Nothing to do with the YO sticking me on her mentallist 18hh Grade A showjumper for a nice spin around the block with barking dogs, artics and boyracers to contend with

I love lessons too because I ride so much better in a lesson than I do on my own. My current instructor really knows how to get the best from me and, although I'll never be a great rider, I am definitely making progress and a good lesson (like I had today) leaves me on a bit of a high. I was also pleased to hear my instructor say today that my pony and I were a perfect match

It made me feel all warm and fuzzy!
