I decided to subject The Tank to his extremely camp Christmas broadband and go for a quick Christmas hack. Photographic evidence below. Did anyone else get out and about?

Looking festive (sort of):

Surprisingly bright view down to the bridges:

Looking so delighted (!) about his new brow band, I had to jump off and take a pic...

Love the photo with the Forth road and rail bridges in the background - that is classy!
Your Xmas hack was a bit more scenic than mine. I just had a quick walk down the farm road and back.
However it is actually the first time I've hacked her out on Xmas day, although I've had her 10 years, so special in its own way :)

My daughter took Basil and her friend took Maggie as I was cooking dinner :( but they had lots of tinsely fun so it was all good

Had my first ever Christmas Day hack yesterday, loved it, got totally soaked but everyone I met was so friendly saying Merry Christmas and smiling. People round here are usually friendly but yesterday were even more so :D

Had another hack today wth a friend, pity I have to go back to work tomorrow, but have got the afternoon off, so may squeeze in another :)

Yes, was supposed to go for 9am, but woke up at 8am to torrential rain, so went back to sleep! Got up to the yard about 11 am and had a quick hack with friend Fiona before it started raining again!!!

Had a tinsel gallop through puddles on xmas eve and went to the beach today although the plonker refused to go within 5 metres of the water

Yes, myself and the other 2 liveries went for a hack early afternoon. Managed to squeeze in a 90 mins one while the kids were at their dads. Was cold but stayed dry thankfully

:) I love seing pics of horses and riders all tinselled up for Christmas! (moar, plz!!!! :D)

A few from our yard were supposed to go out on christmas eve. I was really looking forward to it cause I've never had a Christmas ride before but it wasn't to be. Maybe next year!

I went out for a little one on Christmas morning. No tinsel cause it was just Grace and I but it was lovely. Three motorway bridges, a main road, a few pillocks and it was STILL a nice relaxing hack because my angel of a horse didn't put a foot wrong. She was a bit nervous at times and so was I, but she's not scared of motorway bridges (like I am) and I'm not scared of mopeds (like she is) so we looked after one another. I think we both came home smiling! :D
Unfortunately, I have no photographic proof but if you can track down the muppet who set a camera flash off right in her face, I think he might have got a decent picture.... of her nostril!

I had a lovely hack with my sister :D
She rode her gelding, and I took my mare out in hand (she's been off most of the year with a ligament injury and is just coming back into work). We went round the bridlepath, which is an absolutely stunning part of the trans pennine way. I decided to jump on bareback for the final part of the ride (I had my hat on) and used a handy stone block thingy as a mounting block...which I've just found out was in fact a 9th century archaeological object known as the Robin Hood Picking Stones...oops :p

Christmas day is always way too manic for me to have time to hack out but I did manage a rather soggy hack today and if the snow we've currently got clears overnight I'll head out again tomorrow!!!

We didn't manage to ride yesterday, combination of weather and human illness :( But we managed to get round the block this afternoon :) Got soaked though as it started to rain just as we set off! Was still fun, but sisters big mare got a bit miffed about the rain going in her ear!

Jesus no they all got a day off! The time it took me to muck out and feed was long enough to be spent up the yard on Christmas day! All but one had the day off today too as I was hunting, and I was away Christmas Eve so none were ridden then either. I don't think I'm going to be the only podgy one after Christmas is over!

Managed to get out!!! All dolled up with silly Father Christmas hats, plus tinsel & friend on hers had bells on his bridle (umm, not sure a good idea!!, in retrospect).

My boy and mare (another friend rode my lad) were both EVIL EVIL EVIL. Really horrible moods both of them; mine tried to buck off friend - no reason, just felt like it. Mare was in vile mood throughout and not listening to me at all. So happy time had by all! BUT it was nice to get out - and for once we didn't get wet.
