Either competing or watching- I'm competing tomorrow. What day are you going and if your competing or watching tomorrow come and say hello! I'll have the naughty grey New Forest!!

I'm there on Saturday as I won tickets - and as I live half a mile from there, it would be rude not to! Praying for good weather!

Can't be arsed to compete this year though, fed up of the whole showing malarkey :p

weather report not looking great sadly! but I love the atmosphere of county shows although never done the three counties before- so nervous about not knowing where to go for rings etc at the showground and how good they are at keeping to time/announcing the classes etc.

Shadowboy - have a look on their website, there's a pretty colour coded map of the showground, with all the rings etc. Can't remember if they actually announce classes (mine was first thing on the sunday - 8am!) but I think they're fairly accurate timekeeping wise. Which class are you doing?

KatPT - cool, must come and watch. Is that Dan and the gang? When (and where) are you on?

they did post me a black and white poorly photocopied map actually!

I'm doing the Three year old filly or gelding New Forest. I'm not hoping for anything placing's wise as he hasnt been out for 22 months!!!! But he has done county shows as a yearling before- so just looking for a decent judge's opion on how he has developed since he was a yearling.

KatPT what does that involve training wise?

The horse-boarding is basically a series of head to head drag races, each team made up of one horse, one rider and one mountain boarder. It's pretty fast and furious stuff - you need a horse that is good in the start box (they tend to get mega excited after the first race), and fast but pulls up easily...and a good mountain boarder! (Dan is my boarder) I think we are doing a demo in the main arena and then the main races are somewhere on the edge of the ground. But to be honest I don't know when or where myself! I am just turning up early tomorrow and getting told what to do!

But come and say hi if you come to watch! I'm sure there will be issues to iron out... but when the races set off they are really exciting!

If you mean the boarding, we should be on all 3 days, depending on if the boarders survive day 1!
