Mine has such a flippin gut on him at the moment... I was hoping the, err, additional 'summer podge' might have started to shift now... He's schooled 4-5 times a week and hacked out for a good hour or so once a week.... will the belly shift? NO!

I remember when I was looking to buy him and horsie friends were warning of all that feed I'd have to shove down him over winter... lol

I have a fairly tubby tb And she doesnt really have much hard feed atm but just won't lose it! I thought Now she's coming in at night she might lose a little but no she seems to be getting bigger! Where as my friend has A cob x who she's piling loads of food into and she stilled can't get much weight in him!

I had a tubby TB last year!!! Fortunately for me her super diet worked and she is now a skinny minny :p

I coudln't work my horse either as she out of work due to leg problems. The thing I found that worked the most was to weight the hay she was having, then soaking it, and double netting it! And only token feeding once a day for supplements. Also who ever said straw doesn't put on the pounds was wrong... my horse was proof of this!! She stuffed her face with her straw bed and it wasn't until I moved to a yard with a no straw policy and put her on shavanigs the weight started to shift.... a big culprit me thinks!

Its weird because now she is on a nice steady and healthy amount of feed :D Hay is no longer soaked and she is having 2 nets full per night and a nice amount of hard feed once a day! She is looking perfect in my eyes :)

this time last year...
