Anyone else got a vocal pony out hacking?!

Cob is regularly hacked out on his own. Most days he's fine, as in will quietly walk round the block. Sometimes he has to make his presence known and will whinny (like a squealing girl:p) as he goes round. Sometimes, there's not a horse in sight and other times he will call to the horses of the numerous yards we pass:rolleyes:

Shove him in the trailer and take him out hacking and by god he will whinny every five minutes even if he's in company! It's not even a 'manly' whinny. What a girl:D

Anyone else have a vocal hacker?!
 
Missy also does this but it gets very annoying especially hacking alone as she seems to get herself worked up whenever she does it (high pitched squealing!) and its usually followed by her jogging around on her toes and the horses from her field responding..even if they are miles away!:rolleyes:
Although if they don't respond its as if they have died and she has to get back to check that they are okay:confused: starts to nap and be a stubborn mare!:rolleyes:
 
The Appy tends to shout when she is out on her own, doesn't shout while on the lorry, but when we reach the destination she shouts VERY loudly to let everyone know that they can start the party 'cos she has arrived :D
 
Love 'wubs' nice word, I call it wickering, but must be the same sound. My cob mare does this when ever our TB is parted and then returns. He seems to be the only other horse she likes in the whole world. He otoh whinnies like crazy while she is hacked alone you can hear him from the village almost a mile away. He is not kept alone and is with others on a small livery yard. I find it annoying as it sometimes upsets my mare though she never calls back.
 
Is a 'wub' like when they go wubububub haha I like that one.

Mine is very vocal, the first few times I took her out she was neighing her head off round a council estate, she does it more when in season and definitely more at other horses, of which there are a few we pass!

That's the one :D she is a pain in the bum, people walking, dogs, horses,people in gardens, people at the shop all are greeted with 'wubwubwubwubwub' but her friend on our usual hacking route a lovely gypsy vanner mare gets a low tomboyish bellow :D
 
My horses are quite mute.. unlike my friend's horse I hacked out today :o

If he sees something interesting he will try to turn around and have a good look- he's not spooky, just nosey ! Unfortunately he tries to do this in the road so you have to be on your guard to prevent it :p Today I wasn't expecting it and he caught sight of two cyclists coming up behind him, as they went to overtake he turned round- blocked them and neighed loudly in their faces :eek::eek:
I got him back where he should be and he continued to neigh at regular intervals down the road :o He is very vocal in the field too
