Anyone else got hayfever for the first time?

Very fed up! Eyes streaming, nose running and I have been informed I have hay fever. This is a first for me as I am now comfortably middle aged ( well ish!)

Anyone else a newbie like me? Any tips? Have succumbed to local pharmacy drugs and eye drops to date to try to control it...and does anyone know why I would get it now having never had it before?!

Not for the first time this year, but last year! Unfortunately it's a repeat this year, sneezing constantly

My mum was absolutely fine for 45 years and myself also for 21 years (live on a farm and get involved in haymaking, surrounded by pollen etc and not a problem ever before), then wham, last year we both started suffering from it.

The only thing I can suggest is over the counter hayfever tablets. I usually take one first thing before I leave the house and it does improve the usual symptoms.

Other than that, I sit in the office being grumpy all day and blame it on my hayfever! People can be very sympathetic!
